Mission Statement : Our mission is to actively involve members of our community in the ongoing fight for human rights and economic justice. Our holistic approach includes doing outreach to the impoverished communities that we serve in our area and helping individuals learn how to create change. The GHRU serves as a space where people can come together and voice the concerns and struggles that they face in their own neighborhoods. At our monthly meetings we help each other recognize these issues as human rights violations and connect them to the larger system of poverty and oppression. We educate each other about our human rights and learn how to fight for these rights
