About GHRU

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948 with the intent of guaranteeing all people a broad range of economic, social, cultural, political and civil rights. However, the United States has not fully embraced these principles, and human rights violations occur on a daily basis. Some violations include lack of food, health care, education and housing.

The Georgia Human Rights Union's mission is to educate and involve members of our community in the ongoing fight for human rights and economic justice.
